As a Professor of Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, I bring over two decades of experience in higher education and research. I have served as the President of the Association for Language Awareness since 2006 and have been an active member of the Research Committee of the Literary Research Association since 2022. From 1998 to 2023, I chaired the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Research & Intercultural Communication at the University of Kassel. Additionally, I held the position of International Area Chair of the Literacy Research Association from 2019 to 2022.
